Winter Home Decor

Now that Christmas is over and I’m removing all the Holiday decorations a house can feel really empty. That’s why I didn’t take it all down, but just removed the Christmas things and replaced them with Winter home decor.

On one hand I thinks it’s nice to have a clean house after the Holidays. But in the Netherlands there’s usually no pretty snowy landscapes. Just grey skies, grey streets and bare trees. So I kinda need some cute things in my house to lighten up the dark days. That’s why I decided to make some cute Winter settings in our home.

I’ll try and let you know where all the products in the photos are from.

Lamp stand: thrifted – Lamp shade: Karwei – White pot: Hornbach – Messing cabinet: bepurehome

Fake antler: Intratuin – Small pot: HEMA – Bottle Brush Trees: Casa

Bell jar: Intratuin – Bottle Brush trees: Casa and Action

Wooden plateau & flower pot: Intratuin – Candle holders: thrifted – Woodwick Candle: Candles & Cards Breda

All the above decorations are in our living and dining room. I have the Island pine in my house all year long, but I’ll remove the lights when the days get a bit longer.

The glass & stone trees I just recently started collecting. I’ll probably keep them around all year haha.

I’ve also decorated our bedroom. The shelves above our bed are new and I don’t know why we haven’t done this sooner. It makes it so much more cosy. The alpaca on the shelf is made from real Alpaca hair, I got it for my birthday last year and it’s incredibly soft! I only show you my side because the husband wanted to decorate it’s own side and so far it’s still completely empty..

Lanterns: thrifted – Alpaca: Inkari Alpaca – Bottle brush trees: Casa – Acorn candle: H&M Home – Deathly Hallows mirror: handmade by a friend

So that’s how I try to keep my house cosy during the dark Winter months, with cute Winter Home Decor. I hope you liked seeing a bit of my house!
