I get asked quite frequently about the things I use(d) to make my hair grow faster. One of the things most of you have seen on my Instagram account is probably the blue bear-shaped vitamines. So now that my hair is extremely ruined and I just bought myself another batch, I thought it would be a good idea to write a Sugar Bear Hair Review.
Like with all my “beauty related” posts I want to start by saying that I write this review based on my personal experience. What works for me doesn’t necessarily have to work for you too.
A bit of background information
I have tried a lot of different kinds of vitamines that were supposed to make your hair grow, from a lot of different brands. And most of them didn’t really do anything for my length, at least not anything noticeable.
I don’t need thicker hair or more hair, I just want it to grow FAST. The first time I bought SugarBearHair vitamines was when I was done with my pixie cut and I wanted to outgrow the awkward “I’m growing my hair out-fase” as fast as I could.
These are some of the things Sugar Bear Hair tells you on their website. I made the text a bit shorter, but I didn’t change any information:
SugarBearHair vitamins are vegetarian, cruelty-free, made in the U.S.A. and with natural berries.
Sugar Bear Hair was formulated with essential hair-friendly vitamins like biotin, folic acid, and Vitamin D. Our vitamins do not contain hormones so it will not affect your facial or body hair.
No gelatin, dairy & gluten. And no side effects.
There are 60 gummies per bottle which will last 30 days. We recommend 2 gummy bears a day.
The vitamins work best taken for a minimum of 3 months but best results are at 6 months. Results will vary from person to person.
So that’s pretty clear. No moustaches, which is great, and no other side effects. You need to use the vitamines for a minimum of 3 months to really tell a difference, so I ordered 3 bottles.
My Sugar Bear Hair Review
This is my 3rd time buying Sugar Bear Hair vitamines. That says enough right?
I really really notice a difference. I’m not sponsored by this brand (I wish!!) and this is my honest opinion, but these vitamines work great for me. My hair already grows pretty fast, a little over 1 cm per month. But when I take these blue bears, it’s closer to 2 cm each month. Which is crazy fast!
One thing you have to remember is this: when your hair is damaged, it breaks. So because I always dye my hair, I don’t measure the entire length of my hair, I measure my roots. This is a perfect indicator for growth because your hair doesn’t grow from the ends, it grows from the roots.
I don’t feel like it makes my hair thicker, but I already have really thick hair. However it does effect my nails. My nails aren’t that strong after biting them for 20 years and these vitamines make them grow pretty fast. So while I’m using the bears I keep my nails short to prevent them from tearing off. Because while they make things grow fast, in my case it doesn’t make them stronger.
While writing this I have 0 roots because my hair was bleached to death (unfortunately that’s literally) last Friday. So I’ll try to remember to post a photo next month of the progress. And another one after 3 months.
6 week update: After 6 weeks of which I’ve been taking Sugarbear hair 5 weeks this is how much my hair has grown! (I dyed it black entirely after a week) The damaged short part is still breaking at the ends, but you can see from the healthy side it has grown a bit over 3 cm!! I really hope I can get straight bags again in a few weeks.
Conclusion: if you want to make your hair grow faster and you have the money for it I would definitely recommend SugarBearHair vitamines!
How about SweetBunnyHare vitamines?
It’s a logical question some of you guys asked me: Have I tried SweetBunnyHare vitamines? (These are a vegan and slightly cheaper option for hair vitamines in the shape of pink bunnies. )
Yes, I did try these too, but I found they worked less for me than SugarBearHair. If you’re vegan I think you could give them a try, I’m definitely not saying they don’t work. But if you’re not, I’d go for the blue vitamin animals. They’re slightly more expensive, but if you check some different (online)shops for the lowest price it’s only 2 or 3 euro more a month and I think it’s worth it.
If you have any other questions about these SugarBearHair vitamines or other hair-related question, feel free to drop a comment below this blogpost and I will do my best to answer you as best I can!
