Homemade Christmas gifts

This blog is very last-minute with only 3 days until Christmas. But if you haven’t bought your Christmas gifts yet, you want something extra to give or you don’t have that much to spend, these homemade Christmas Gifts are perfect!

I decided to make my own Christmas gifts this year instead of buying them. Really festive and you can get as creative as you want (or can). I made 4 edible things this year: Chocolate Milk Spoons, Cranberry Jam, Shortbread Christmas Cookies and White Chocolate Fudge.

Chocolate Milk Spoons

This one is the easiest! This is what I did to make 14 chocolate milk spoons:

  • I melted about 800 gram of chocolate.
  • Put mini marshmallows at the bottom of some plastic shot glasses.
  • Poured in the chocolate until the rim of the shot cups.
  • Waited until they were almost set and put in a tapas skewer.
  • When they’re completely set, just cut of the plastic and you’re done!

Cranberry Jam

Super festive: make your own cranberry jam! It goes great with croissants, scones or just on a piece of toast. But it’s also great with different types of cheese or pate.

If you’re making a lot, like me, I’d recommend using a little less water or leave it on the stove a bit longer.

Shortbread Christmas Cookies

Shortbread cookies are one of my favourite types of cookies. They’re easy to make, you don’t need to use a lot of ingredients and you can easily add different flavours to them. But you can also add colours or sprinkles!

White Chocolate Fudge

This definitley is the hardest recipe of them all. And I must admit, I didn’t quite nail it. But the taste is delicious and I’m definitly going to try it again.

One word of advice: if you microwaved it as long as the recipe says and you sugar hasn’t completely dissolved yet, just put it in for another minute and stir, and another and another until you can’t see the sugar crystals anymore!

So that’s what my family got for Christmas this year: Homemade Christmas gifts! What are you getting your partner/friends/family?
